Frank Butcher

Frank Butcher

Frank is a long serving member of Blue Teapot who has also participated in Macnas Galway Arts Festival parades.

On stage, Frank has a wonderfully resonant voice and commanding presence to which he has played theatre technician Pete in Fool Me?, the Devil in Lock Up Those Auld Comedians and ugly sister Anastasia in Cinders. In A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Frank played Peter Quince and Mustardseed the fairy, while in contrast, took the sinister role of Wallace in Len Collin’s 84.

In Sanctuary, Frank played the sharp-witted William, being his favourite Blue Teapot role, and in particular excelling in his double act with Matthew (Paul Connolly) in the feature film version.

Since Sanctuary was filmed, Frank performed one last time for Blue Teapot as Paddy Slots in Waiting For Elvis (2016) before hanging up his theatrical cloak and retiring from the stage.
