Roubaix Calling!

We’re thrilled to announce that Blue Teapot will be joining some of our Pan European counterparts in Roubaix for Festival Crossing The Line, thanks to the support of Culture Ireland.

Culture Ireland promotes Irish arts worldwide, creating and supporting opportunities for Irish artists and companies to present and promote their work at strategic international festivals and venues.

This is the first ever Crossing the Line festival, held over three days in the northern French city with performances, workshops, screenings and discussions from three leading European, learning-disability theatre companies: Mind the Gap (UK), Compagnie de l’Oiseau Mouche (France) and Moomsteatern (Sweden). Joining the party will be our principle cast of Sanctuary (2016). As well as showcasing film, we will see productions by peer companies, participate in workshops and meet artists from around Europe. It’s also a kick start to our artistic programme for Galway European Capital of Culture. We will keep you posted on our activities.

Fun Fact! Roubaix is the finishing post of the famous, gruelling road race Paris-Roubaix which has been won by Irish cycling legend Sean Kelly.
