IT’S BABORÓ TIME

Autumn leaves are falling. Activities are rising!

We have so many projects already in action this fall, including two events programmed for Baboró International Arts Festival for Children.

PANEL DISCUSSON: Space for All: Making Time for Inclusive Arts Practice.

Monday 14 October 16.00 – 17.30  Venue: Mick Lally Theatre, Galway.

Actor Kieran Coppinger and Artistic Director Petal Pilley will be on the panel to share their experiences of what it means to be inclusive in arts practise. While there are increasingly more positive steps towards inclusivity in cultural sectors, many challenges and obstacles remain in development, presentation and especially touring opportunities.

INCLUSIVE THEATRE WORKSHOPS

Tuesday 15th – Thursday 17th October Venue: Blue Teapot Theatre, Galway

Our actors are taking the lead and facilitating three inclusive theatre workshops to school children with and without disabilities, bringing them through an imaginative, fun-packed session, using movement, music and improvisation.

On Tuesday 15 October, we welcome participants from Claddagh National School

Wednesday 16th October, it is the turn of Scoil Iognáid

Thursday 17th Oct, we host Shantalla National School for the final workshop

Although these workshops are pre-assigned, we have big news coming very soon for public events in December.
