MATECRIME for UK FILM FESTIVAL
Award Nomination for MATECRIME
Bradford International Film Festival honours Blue Teapot film
Screening Sunday 25th October at 1:30pm Bradford Arts Centre
We’re thrilled that MATECRIME has been nominated for Best International Short Film at Bradford International Film Festival 2026. BRADIFF showcases short films from Bradford, UK, and international filmmakers, celebrating bold storytelling and distinctive creative voices.
MATECRIME is an artistic response to the subject of mate crime to raise awareness of the abuse and exploitation experienced by people with intellectual disabilities by perpetrators they considered to be friends. This is the first screening outside of Ireland for MATECRIME, having made its premiere at the 38th Galway Film Fleadh in July 2026.
Blue Teapot will be represented in person by Writer/Director Petal Pilley at the screening on Sunday 25th October at Bradford Arts Centre.
