We’re delighted to announce that tickets are now available for our festive children’s’ theatre show. A perfect warm-hearted, winter’s tale, Fairy Tree is a humorous, charming play that incorporates puppetry, original music and song aimed at children aged from six years and suitable for all audiences.
About the play
The play explores the tradition of bringing a fir tree into our homes at mid-winter but only for twelve days. Director Rod Goodall was inspired by “the importance of our relationship with each other, nature and perhaps the fairy world. It’s celebration and acceptance that we are all different.”
It’s a story about fairies, so cold they are freezing to the trees. Two young girls notice them and ask the community to take the fairies into their houses to warm up. Not everyone is pleased about the idea but it is agreed, as long as the fairies don’t overstay their welcome. Will the fairies stick to the agreement?
