Sanctuary Film Special Events in March

Roll out the red carpets! Galway audiences have two opportunities to see the critically acclaimed feature film Sanctuary before it goes on limited general release and support a major fundraiser for the award winning Blue Teapot Theatre Company.

With a daytime matinee and an evening Gala, both events take place on Friday 31 st March in The Eye Cinema, Galway, with the evening event followed by a night of hospitality and entertainment in the five star G Hotel.

AFTERNOON MATINEE:

Screening takes place at 3.30pm (doors 3pm) and ticketholders will gain admission to the film, free pick n mix, post screen talk with writer Christian O’Reilly and filmmakers as well as meet and greet with the actors.

EVENING GALA PREMIERE:

A very special night of film, fun and fashion takes place with our evening Gala premiere, starting at The Eye Cinema and a screening of Sanctuary at 7.15pm. Following the post screen talk/audiences Q & A with filmmakers, guests and VIP will be welcomed in to the G Hotel for prosecco, supper bowls, jazz bands, entertainment and craic with special guests.

Amongst the glitz and glamour will be the chance to win the award for Best Dressed Person on the night, judged by costume designer and TV3 This Morning stylist Sonja Mohlich. Amongst the generously sponsored raffle prizes on offer is a specially designed ladies head piece from the award winning Irish milliner Suzie Mahony and a unique, one off ceramic blue teapot, crafted by master potter Edwin Longueville.

All proceeds to both events go direct in to the fundraising campaign for Blue Teapot to secure a permanent, creative home. We will post the total amount raised in News sometime in April.
